Awards nights live or die on the winner shots. BTP shoots from a position planned with production so each recipient is photographed at the same moment, in the same light, with the same framing, and nobody gets the back of a head.
Evening events are also where room design pays off. Tom shoots the room reveal before doors open, while it’s empty and perfect, so the planner and decor team get clean images of the work.
Working with production
Stage lighting at galas is often designed for video, with strong color and contrast. Tom coordinates with lighting and AV teams on positions and timing, and shoots for the look of the room rather than flattening it with flash.
